Petrovietnam Ca Mau Fertiliser Joint Stock Company (PVCFC) has exported 100,000 tonnes of urea in the first days of the Year of the Snake 2025.

The fertiliser export market declined in both volume and price in the first six months of this year.

Vietnamese fertiliser exports were riding high in 2022 with an aggregate volume of 1.7 million tonnes, bringing in over US$1 billion.

Fertiliser exports have set a new record, as the nine-month revenue was already US$300 million higher than last year’s figure, the Dau tu (Vietnam Investment Review) reported.

VOV.VN - The country's fertiliser exports in the first six months of the year reached 998,000 tonnes, earning US$647 million, up 43% in volume and 2.8 times in value compared to the same period from last year.

The Russia–Ukraine conflict is forcing Vietnam to look for alternative suppliers of fertilisers to cope with the shortage of supply and rising prices.

The value of Vietnam’s fertiliser products shipped overseas skyrocketed by 682% in the first month of 2022 against the same period last year, according to the General Department of Vietnam Customs.
