VOV.VN - The Vietnamese fruit and vegetable industry is anticipated to earn US$10 billion from exports by 2030, said Dang Phuc Nguyen, general secretary of the Vietnam Fruit and Vegetable Association (Vinafruit).

The Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT) has set a target of 6% export growth in 2025 as global inflation has cooled down and international market demand recovers.

Coffee prices have increased by over 50% on average this year, enabling the export revenue to potentially surpass US$5 billion for the first time.

VOV.VN - The past 11 months of the year witnessed seven Vietnamese commodities rake in more than US$10 billion each in export earnings, accounting for 66.5% of the country’s total export value.

Vietnam exported 235,335 tonnes of pepper, including 207,498 tonnes of black pepper and 27,837 tonnes of white pepper, in January - November to earn US$1.22 billion, with the US being the biggest importer, according to the Vietnam Pepper and Spice Association (VPSA).

VOV.VN - Vietnam raked in more than US$249.2 million from exporting 90,270 tonnes of cinnamon during the past 11 months of the year, up 10.2% in volume and 3.9% in value against the same period from last year.

Ample room remain for boosting trade cooperation between Vietnam and Malaysia, including the export of Vietnamese tra (pangsius) fish, as both countries strive to capitalise on regional trade agreements such as the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) and the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP), experts have said.

VOV.VN - With Vietnam’s import-export revenue hitting a record high of US$715.55 billion during the 11-month period, exports are anticipated to reach nearly US$400 billion this year, according to the General Statistics Office (GSO).

Vietnam's fruit and vegetable exports are projected to reach US$6.6 billion by the end of November, fulfilling the annual target of US$6-6.6 billion, one month ahead of schedule.

From being a minor exporter prior to 2013, Vietnam rose to number eleven in the global rankings of top exporters by 2023, emerging as a surprise player in global trade.
