VOV.VN - Vietnamese rescue workers in collaboration with colleagues from Myanmar and Turkey on April 2 saved a survivor from the devastating 7.7-magnitude earthquake that struck Myanmar on March 28.

The recent earthquake in Myanmar has compounded the already difficult business environment for Vietnamese enterprises operating in the country, according to the Vietnam Trade Office in Myanmar.

The Ministry of Public Security has deployed a 26-member emergency response team to Myanmar to assist the country in search and rescue efforts following the devastating March 28 earthquake.

Authorised by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son, Deputy Minister Do Hung Viet, head of the ASEAN Senior Officials’ Meeting (SOM) delegation of Vietnam, attended a special emergency meeting of ASEAN Foreign Ministers on the aftermath of the earthquakes in Myanmar and Thailand on March 30.
