King of Belgium inaugurates DEEP C service complex in Quang Ninh
VOV.VN - King Philippe of Belgium and Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh inaugurated Bac Tien Phong Industrial Service Complex, a joint project invested by Hateco group of Vietnam and DEEP C of Belgium, in Quang Ninh province on April 2.

Queen Mathilde of Belgium also attended the inauguration ceremony. Both the King and the Queen are on a working visit to Vietnam from March 31 to April 4.
The DEEP C Industrial Complex is a system of industrial zones and seaports developed and operated by a Belgian investor in Hai Phong city and Quang Ninh province – the most dynamic development area in the northern region of Vietnam.
With a strategic location near deep-water ports, international airports, and modern highways, DEEP C provides comprehensive infrastructure, modern amenities, and sustainable development solutions, making it an attractive investment destination for both domestic and international businesses.
This complex focuses on developing an eco-industrial park, promoting green production, and applying renewable energy, contributing to the creation of a sustainable and highly competitive industrial hub in Vietnam.
The DEEP C Service Complex located at the Bac Tien Phong Industrial Zone, Quang Yen town, has taken shape after 14 months of construction with a total investment of US$5 million. The office model has been built on sustainability criteria, aiming to reduce CO2 emissions to the environment and meet international standards for green buildings.
As part of the programme, the King, Queen, and the Belgian delegation were introduced to the potential and strengths of Quang Ninh province, including the DEEP C Industrial Service Complex in Quang Yen Town.
Quang Ninh has so far attracted over 200 foreign direct investment projects from 20 countries and territories, with a total investment capital of more than US$16 billion, including many investors from the European Union.
During a reception for the Belgian delegation on the same day, Vu Dai Thang, secretary of the Quang Ninh provincial Party Committee, affirmed that Quang Ninh always values and aims to strengthen and expand practical cooperation with regions and partners in Belgium, especially in areas where Belgium excels, such as manufacturing and processing industries, pharmaceuticals, automotive; industrial park and port infrastructure development; renewable energy; digital transformation.
King Philippe appreciated the province’s proposals and affirmed that he would connect with businesses and investors, bringing cooperation programmes with Vietnam, specifically with Quang Ninh, to new heights. He also requested that Quang Ninh create favourable conditions for Belgian businesses to have opportunities for cooperation and investment, particularly in the development of logistics and seaports.
