Claudio De Negri, Secretary of the Chilean Communist Party’s Central Committee still vividly remembers the melody of the "Ballad of Ho Chi Minh" that he and thousands of Chileans sang in the main square of Santiago de Chile during a march in support of Vietnam in the late 1960s.

Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong was a leader of integrity who was tireless in his efforts for building and development of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV), Martín Hacthoun, a journalist from Prensa Latina, told the Vietnam News Agency (VNA)’s correspondents in Havana.

Although 49 years have passed, Vice President of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV) Jesús Germán Faría Tortosa has clearly remembered the day when he learnt that the south of Vietnam was liberated.
