Can Tho launches new tourism products for National Day holiday
VOV.VN - On this year’s National Day (September 2), the Mekong Delta city of Can Tho is rolling out a variety of new tourism products and services, along with a series of promotional programmes, to create highlights for both visitors and local residents.

My Khanh Ecotourism Village in An Binh Ward continues to promote its strength as a long-established destination associated with the waterways of the Southern region.
This year My Khanh is offering additional activities such as a miniature floating market, traditional craft villages, and rural food fairs. A number of promotional combos are also available, including free entrance tickets with resort bookings, 50% discounts on admission for groups dining at the village, and discounted game service packages for families and large groups.
At the same time, Can Tho is expanding spiritual tourism - a service prioritised since the city’s administrative boundaries were extended a couple of months ago. Many well-known pagodas such as Truc Lam Zen Monastery, Quan Am Linh Ung, Serey Ta Mon, and Serey Kandal have invested in guided tours, exhibitions, dining, souvenirs, and traditional cultural performances like Ramvong dance and Khmer five-tone music.
At Som Rong Pagoda, Venerable Ly Duc shared that the pagoda has also set up a display of Khmer costumes and offers rentals to visitors to take commemorative photos.
Beyond major enterprises, many family-run gardens on Son Islet of Binh Thuy ward are also offering holiday promotions. Nguyen The Ngoc, representative of Ngan Long Home & Camp, said that all products and service combos are discounted by 10%, with additional gifts such as conical hats printed with the national flag and mini flags for check-in photos.
The Can Tho administration has announced a plan to celebrate the 80th anniversary of National Day with a series of cultural and artistic events. The highlight will be a commemorative gathering at 7:00 p.m. on September 2 at Tay Do Park, with a live television link to Hau Giang and Soc Trang. Following the art programme, at 9:30 p.m., the city will stage high-altitude fireworks at Tay Do Park and low-altitude displays at Xa No Park and the 5A Urban Area.
According to the Can Tho Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, in the first half of 2025 the city welcomed over 4 million visitors, with tourism revenue reaching more than VND4 trillion. With thorough preparations from both businesses and authourities, the local tourism sector is expected to achieve a breakthrough in both visitor numbers and revenue during the National Day holiday period and in the remaining months of the year.
