Nearly 1,000 Vietnamese intellectuals in Japan are gathering at a forum opened on November 20 to contribute opinions to help with national development in the post-pandemic period.

The Vietnam Youth Initiative Programme – InnoCity 2021 will be officially launched at a ceremony held in both in-person and online forms on August 19.

The new government should set forth policies to facilitate investment and connectivity between overseas Vietnamese and Vietnamese-German entrepreneurs and experts in Germany with the homeland, said several Vietnamese intellectuals in the European country when being asked about their expectations of Vietnam’s newly-elected government.

Vietnamese intellectuals and students working and studying in Belgium, Switzerland and Luxembourg have applauded the country's achievements over the past five years under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam, expressing their belief in opportunities for Vietnam’s stronger development in the future.

A society of Vietnamese intellectuals in the UK and Ireland (VIS-UK) was established during a virtual inaugural conference held on December 19.

The third forum of young Vietnamese intellectuals across the globe, themed Vietnam in 2045, took place on November 21 with the participation of 206 people under 35 in Vietnam and overseas.
