General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee To Lam and a high-ranking delegation of Vietnam met with overseas Vietnamese intellectuals in Singapore on March 11 to discuss and listen to petitions and suggestions for development policies, as part of their official visit to the city-state.

Streamlining the administrative apparatus, as directed by General Secretary To Lam, provides an opportunity to select competent, dedicated, and moral officials to improve the political system's efficiency and align it with global development trends, according to Vietnamese intellectuals in Switzerland.

A delegation led by Ministry of Science and Technology (MoST) visited the UK from December 7 to 18 to learn experience in scientific research assessment under an in-depth training programme organised by the University of Portsmouth and the Vietnamese Intellectual Society in the UK, Ireland (VIS).
