A delegation from the Vietnamese Embassy in France, led by Ambassador Dinh Toan Thang, paid a working visit to the Hauts-de-France region from April 13–16, aiming to boost local-level cooperation as Vietnam and France recently upgraded their ties to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.

A seminar was held by the Vietnam - France Friendship Association of Hanoi on September 23 to seek ways for fostering tourism ties between the two countries.

A symposium entitled "France-Vietnam 1973-2023: From historical legacies to the challenges of the 21st century", was organised on March 31 and April 1 by Paul Valéry Montpellier 3 University in collaboration with the Vietnamese Embassy in France on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
