VOV.VN - Vietnam’s rice export prices hit a more than nine-year high this week as fresh orders trickled in, according to Business Recorder, a financial daily in Pakistan.

VOV.VN - The nation’s rice export price in January stood at US$551.7 per tonne, representing a year-on-year rise of 15.4%, according to the General Department of Vietnam Customs.

VOV.VN - Vietnam exported a total of 5.74 million tonnes of rice worth US$2.85 billion during the opening 11 months of the year, with the price of 5% broken rice in November reaching approximately US$500 per tons, according to the Agro Processing and Market Development Authority (Agrotrade).

VOV.VN - Each tonne of 5% broken white rice from the country was priced US$15 higher in comparison with the same product from Thailand in the world market as of August 8, hovering between US$478 and US$482 per tonne.
