Vietnam launches tourism promotion campaign in Russia
VOV.VN -The Vietnam National Authority of Tourism will host a tourism promotion and business networking programme in Russia from August 26 to September 3 as part of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism’s 2025 Tourism Development Stimulus Programme.

Key events will take place in Moscow on August 28and Irkutsk on September 1, aiming to introduce Vietnam’s diverse destinations, travel products, and services to Russian tourism businesses and travelers, while boosting bilateral tourism cooperation.
The programme will update delegates and businesses on Vietnam’s tourism development, as well favourabletravel policies. It will spotlight popular offerings, such as beach and island destinations in Nha Trang, PhuQuoc and Mui Ne; cultural and heritage sites in Hanoi, Hue, and Da Nang, and experiences favoured by Russian visitors, such as golf tourism, wellness and healthcare services, water sports and cuisine.
The event is expected to draw hundreds of Russian delegates, including representatives from major tour operators, airlines, media outlets, and tourism authorities.
A key feature of the programme will be a business matching session, where Vietnamese and Russian enterprises can exchange ideas, forge partnerships, and explore the development of travel products tailored to Russian tastes.
To complement the tourism showcase, guests will also enjoy traditional Vietnamese performances, offering a glimpse into the country’s rich cultural heritage.
The event comes amid growing ties between Vietnam and Russia under a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership. Tourism is a key cooperation area, with Vietnam ranking among the top seven most popular destinations for Russian travelers.
In the first seven months of 2025, Vietnam welcomed 315,138 Russian visitors, marking a 156% increase year on year. Russia is now among Vietnam’s top 10 source markets.
In particular, Khanh Hoa province alone received 220,641 Russian visitors in the first seven months this year, a remarkable increase of 269.6% year on year. At present, there are about 30 flights per week from Russia to the province.
