VOV.VN - The International Police Volleyball Tournament 2025 is set to take place in Ho Chi Minh City from August 26 to 30 to celebrate 80 years of National Day (September 2) and the Vietnam People's Public Security Forces (August 19).

The tournament brings together more than 150 athletes from six teams, including three from Laos (Lao Ministry of Public Security Team), Cambodia (Visakha Club) and Indonesia (Jakarta Bhayangkara Presisi Club).

Vietnam will be represented by three teams - People’s Public Security Team (mainly from Ho Chi Minh City Police Volleyball Club), Vietnam People’s Army Team (The Cong Tan Cang Club), and Hanoi Club.

The opening ceremony of the tournament is slated for 6:30 p.m. on August 26, and the competition will last through to August 30 at the Military Zone 7 Stadium in HCM City.

The event aims to enhance international cooperation and foster cultural and sports exchange among police and security forces in the region, said Colonel Le Hoai Phong, head of the Political Affairs Division of HCM City Police, at a press briefing on August 24.

The tournament is expected to become an annual event in Vietnam, he added.
