National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man has underscored the pressing need to complete the restructuring and streamlining of the NA committees and NA Standing Committee agencies, departments and units under the NA Office.

The Ministry of Home Affairs has estimated that about VND130 trillion (US$5.1 billion) is required to implement policies and benefits for officials, civil servants, public employees, and workers as part of the scheme to streamline the political system’s organisational apparatus.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on December 17 requested the development of regimes and policies to ensure the legal and legitimate rights and interests of officials, civil servants, public employees, and labourers in the restructuring of the organisational apparatus, with no one left behind.
