Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh received representatives from the Romania – Vietnam Friendship Association and friendship organisations with Vietnam in Bucharest on January 21 (local time) as part of his official to the European country.

The Vietnam-Laos Friendship Park, a gift from the Vietnamese Government’s Special Working Committee, has recently been inaugurated and handed over to the Party Organisation and administration of Viengxay district, the northern Lao province of Houaphanh.

This day, January 11, 55 years ago, Vietnam and Sweden set up their diplomatic ties. Over the past 55 years, the two countries have actively built, nurtured and developed their relations, and gained pride-worthy achievements in various fields.

The Vietnam - Bangladesh friendship, which went through many ups and downs of the history, will continue to be strengthened, bringing many practical benefits to both countries' people, said Prime Minister of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina.

A friendship park project funded by the Party Committee and authorities of the northwestern province of Son La was inaugurated at a ceremony in Laos’s Xaysomboun province on January 7.

A ceremony was held in Hanoi on December 18 to present Lao orders and medals to individuals from the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA)’s Government Committees for Religious Affairs and Ethnic Minority Affairs who made outstanding contributions to promoting the Vietnam – Laos friendship.
