The People’s Committee of the south-eastern province of Binh Phuoc, dubbed as Vietnam’s “capital” of cashew and rubber trees, has issued a document on the implementation of an action plan framework in response to the European Union Deforestation-Free Regulation (EUDR).

Vietnam is ready to enlist as an ally in the EU's fight against deforestation to showcase its dedication to environmental responsibility.

The EU's ban on deforestation-linked imports are causing concern among Vietnamese producers as the requirements to trace commodities back to their origin can push up costs and entail finding alternative suppliers.
