Vietnam Airlines inaugurates direct Osaka-Da Nang route
VOV.VN - National flag carrier Vietnam Airlines on July 3 launched a new direct route connecting Osaka (Japan) and Da Nang (Vietnam), operating four times a week on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays.

The inaugural flight departed from Osaka at 9:30 a.m. on July 3 and landed in Da Nang at 12:25 p.m. the same day. The return flight left Da Nang at 1:10 a.m. and arrived in Osaka at 7:55 a.m.
With this new service, Vietnam Airlines now operates 11 weekly flights between Da Nang and major Japanese cities, including the existing daily service on the Narita–Da Nang route.
Nguyen Thi Hoai An, deputy director of Da Nang’s Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, said that Da Nang has carried out tourism introduction programmes in Tokyo and Osaka, participated in the Tourism Expo Japan fair, and and hosting numerous delegations of Japanese travel agencies, media, and Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) to experience Da Nang firsthand.
In the first half of this year, Da Nang welcomed over 108,000 Japanese visitors, accounting for 4.16% of its total international arrivals, a modest increase compared to the same period last year.
Currently, Vietnam Airlines operates 19 routes with over 120 flights per week connecting Hanoi, Da Nang, and Ho Chi Minh City to Japanese cities such as Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya, and Fukuoka.
