78 Vietnamese citizens safely evacuated from Israel and Iran amid conflict
VOV.VN - A total of 78 Vietnamese citizens have been safely evacuated from conflict zones in Israel and Iran during the recent escalation of tensions between the two Middle Eastern countries, according to Pham Thu Hang, spokesperson for Vietnam’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

At the regular press briefing on July 3, Hang confirmed that the Vietnamese embassies in both countries have closely coordinated with domestic agencies, regional diplomatic missions, and host country authorities to implement emergency evacuation plans. Of the 78 evacuees, 63 have already returned to Vietnam safely, while others have been moved to secure locations.
“The situation of the Vietnamese communities in both countries remains stable, and no casualties have been reported so far,” she said, adding that citizen protection hotlines remain active, and Vietnamese missions are maintaining regular contact with nationals in the affected areas.
The spokesperson also urged Vietnamese citizens still in Israel and Iran to strictly follow local safety regulations and maintain communication with the Vietnamese embassies for timely assistance if needed.
Tensions erupted after Israel launched a wave of air strikes targeting Iran on June 13, and Iran immediately responded with a series of missile strikes targeting key Israeli sites. The cycle of attacks and counterattacks continued for over 10 days, causing widespread concern in the region, before both sides agreed to a ceasefire on June 25.
