The Department of State Reserves has successfully completed the tender process for 200,000 tonnes of rice to be added to this year’s national reserves.

VOV.VN - More than 42,443 tonnes of rice from national reserves have been delivered to people affected by COVID-19 in 24 cities and provinces across the country, according to the General Department of State Reserves.

The National Assembly Standing Committee on September 15 passed a resolution on allocating VND274 billion (US$11.8 million) from the central budget’s reserves of 2020 to buy 23,000 tonnes of rice for the national reserves.

The General Department of State Reserves (GDSR) is set to complete this year’s purchasing of rice for national food reserves by August 15.
