A workshop was held in Hanoi on September 18 to share information, experiences, and opportunities for trade and investment cooperation, while fostering sustainable and practical partnerships between Vietnamese and United Arab Emirates (UAE) businesses.

The freshly-signed Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) between Vietnam and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) will not only mark a breakthrough in bilateral economic and trade cooperation but also serve as a strong impetus to attract substantial investment from the Middle Eastern nation in such sectors as energy, industry, high technology, and supply chain development.

Officials from Vietnam’s Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT) and the UAE Ministry of Economy on January 24 agreed to speed up the negotiation for a comprehensive economic partnership agreement (CEPA) between the two countries.
