Two Vietnamese billiards players advance to WPA Men’s 10-Ball World Championship final

VOV.VN - Vietnamese billiards players Nguyen Van Huynh and Nguyen Bao Chau have earned qualification for the final round of the 2025 WPA Men’s 10-Ball World Championship, giving Vietnam a total of four representatives in the tournament.

In the winners’ bracket, Van Huynh defeated fellow countryman Ho So Phat to claim a direct spot in the finals, while Chau advanced through the losers’ bracket. The other two Vietnamese participants, Duong Quoc Hoang and Pham Phuong Nam, were previously granted wildcards.

The championship features 96 cueists competing for a total prize pool of US$250,000, with the winner receiving US$70,000, the runner-up US$40,000, and third place US$17,500.

The tournament begins with a double-elimination stage to determine the top 32 players, followed by a single-elimination round to decide the champion. The event will conclude on September 28.
