Dr. Enzo Sim Hong Chun at the Penang Institute in Malaysia has highlighted Vietnam’s historic path to independence and its continued achievements, stressing that self-reliance and resilience have been the two defining elements throughout the nation’s development.

A decisive factor in Vietnam’s victories during its past resistance wars was the spirit of self-reliance, resilience, and unwavering determination of its people, held historian Pedro de Oliveira, General Secretary of the Brazil–Vietnam Friendship Association.
