Within the framework of the comprehensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and Japan, the central coastal city of Da Nang is ramping up efforts to promote study abroad programmes and high-tech workforce training with Japanese localities.

Chairman of the Japan-Vietnam Friendship Association (JVFA) of Miyagi prefecture Kamada Atsushi handed over JPY1 million (nearly US$6,600) in cash donated by the Japanese locality’s residents to support Vietnamese people in overcoming the aftermath of Typhoon Yagi, to the Vietnamese Embassy in Japan on October 31.

A Hanoi delegation led by Chairman of the municipal People’s Council Tran Sy Thanh is paying a working trip to Japan from October 15-18 to promote cooperation between the city and Japanese localities, organisations, and businesses.
