Searches for Hanoi surge 44 times for National Day holiday: Agoda
VOV.VN - Online travel platform Agoda has unveiled the five most searched destinations for Vietnam’s upcoming National Day holiday, with Hanoi witnessing an impressive 44-fold surge in search volume compared to the same period last year.
The ranking is based on user searches made between April 1 and May 20 for travel dates from August 30 to September 3.
Hanoi claimed the top spot among the five most searched domestic destinations, driven by anticipation surrounding major celebrations planned for the holiday, including a grand military parade to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day (September 2, 1945 - 2025).
The list of the five most searched domestic destinations also consists of the likes of Nha Trang, Da Nang, Da Lat, and Vung Tau, all of which provide beautiful landscapes and beaches for vacations.
Agoda’s latest data also highlights a significant rise in travel interest overall, with search volumes up 104% year-on-year. Domestic travel saw a remarkable 135% increase, while international searches grew by 72%.
For outbound travel, Vietnamese users are most interested in Bangkok (Thailand), Singapore, Seoul (Republic of Korea), Bali (Indonesia), and Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), reaffirming the popularity of regional hotspots.
