Da Nang Food Tour 2026 to boost culinary tourism
VOV.VN - The Da Nang Food Tour 2026 opened at East Sea Park on May 21, marking the first time Da Nang has organised a large-scale culinary tourism festival aimed at turning local cuisine into a strategic tourism product.
The event is part of a broader effort to position Da Nang as one of the region’s leading culinary destinations and to promote the cultural identity of Quảng cuisine, the rich culinary tradition of central Vietnam’s Quang Nam–Da Nang region, through immersive food experiences.
A major highlight of the festival is the “Essence of Quảng Cuisine” space at East Sea Park, featuring more than 200 local, regional and international food stalls.
Visitors can enjoy iconic central Vietnamese dishes such as Mì Quảng (Quảng noodles), Cao lầu (a signature noodle dish made with pork, greens and crispy rice crackers) from Hoi An, and Da Nang’s signature pork rolls with rice paper, alongside a variety of international dishes.
Designed as an immersive cultural journey, Da Nang Food Tour 2026 allows visitors not only to taste local food but also to engage directly with local culture.
Guests can participate in cooking activities, explore traditional crafts, take part in folk games, and enjoy a range of interactive experiences. The event has attracted large crowds of domestic and international tourists eager to explore the festival offerings.
This year’s festival combines gastronomy with art, culture, and technology. A notable aspect is the expansion of festival venues beyond Da Nang to locations such as East Sea Park, Tan Thanh Beach in Hoi An, and Tam Thanh Beach Square in Tam Ky, along with several other sites across the city.
Highlighted activities include Beer Fest Night at East Sea Park, the “Taste of the Sea” Culinary Festival at Tam Thanh Beach Square, and the Hoi An Traditional Folk Cake Festival at Cam Chau Market.
The festival also marks a significant step forward in integrating technology into culinary tourism through the launch of the Da Nang Culinary Digital Map in partnership with ShopeeFood. The platform enables visitors to easily discover, select, and experience notable dining destinations throughout the city.
“The most distinctive feature of Da Nang Food Tour 2026 is its new approach — taking local cuisine beyond the conventional dining experience and turning it into a multi-sensory cultural journey where visitors can touch, feel, and truly immerse themselves in the local culture,” said Nguyen Thi Anh Thi, vice chairwoman of the Da Nang People’s Committee.
“The festival aims to leave a lasting impression, ensuring that every dish is not only enjoyed but also tells a story about the culture, people, and local identity,” she added.
