The continued spread of the nCoV is set to disrupt both national and international sporting events involving Vietnamese sides throughout February with many matches to be suspended in a bid to prevent the spread of the new strain of the nCoV, according to a statement made by the Vietnam Sports Administration on February 3.

As a result, the Vietnam Football Federation has suggested that the AFC make moves to change the schedule of both Ho Chi Minh City FC and Quang Ninh Coal FC who represent Vietnam at the AFC Cup 2020.

After a period of consideration, the AFC has made slight changes to the schedule of both football clubs.

The first-leg match between Ho Chi Minh City FC and Yangon United FC is now set to take place on February 11 at the Thuwunna stadium in Yangon, Myanmar, as opposed to being played at the Thong Nhat Stadium.

Therefore, the second-leg match will be played at the Thong Nhat Stadium on April 29.

In addition, the first-leg match between Quang Ninh Coal FC and Ceres Negros FC will now be held at the Rizal Memorial Stadium in Manila on February 25 rather than the Cam Pha Stadium.

The second-leg match will be played at the Cam Pha Stadium on May 13.
