The recognition ceremony is expected to take place on November 27.
Established in 2004, Lang Sen literally means wetlands with many lotus flowers. The 4,800-hectare site is home to 156 plant and over 160 rare bird species, some of which are listed in the Red Book of Vietnam and several included in the International Union for Conservation of Nature’s Red List of Threatened Species.
In addition, Lang Sen provides an ideal habitat for migratory and non-migratory birds such as storks, cranes, and cormorants.
