Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha on September 18 received representatives from several Malaysian associations and enterprises to promote bilateral trade and investment cooperation in general and the development of the Halal industry in particular.

There is plenty of room for Vietnam and Malaysia to promote cooperation in such new areas as digital transformation, semiconductor, artificial intelligence, and electric vehicle (EV) production thanks to their supplementary strengths, according to Trade Counsellor to Malaysia Le Phu Cuong.

Malaysian Minister of Investment, Trade and Industry Tengku Datuk Seri Utama Zafrul suggested Vietnam and Malaysia cooperate to attract more investment in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).
