Thai Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra’s upcoming official visit to Vietnam is expected to provide an opportunity for leaders of the two countries to foster bilateral ties and discuss a shared strategy for prosperity of both countries and their people.

Vietnamese National Assembly (NA) Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue had a meeting with Thai Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin in Bangkok on December 8 as part of his ongoing official visit to Thailand.

President Nguyen Xuan Phuc’s official visit to Thailand and attendance in the 29th Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Economic Leaders’ Meeting there will create a new impulse for the two countries’ enhanced strategic partnership, said Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Ha Kim Ngoc.

Thai Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha affirmed his country will continue to closely cooperate with Vietnam, both bilaterally and multilaterally, for the benefits of the two nations.
