VOV.VN - Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on May 6 received Cambodia Deputy Prime Minister Neth Savoeun who arrived for a grand ceremony marking 70 years of the Dien Bien Phu victory over French colonialism.

With positive results recorded so far, Vietnam can exceed its target of 7.6 million tonnes in rice export volume set for 2024, Nguyen Ngoc Nam, Chairman of the Vietnam Food Association, said at a conference in the Mekong Delta city of Can Tho on April 26.

Vietnam is highly interested in the Funan Techo canal project and asks Cambodia to work closely with Vietnam and the International Mekong River Commission to share information and assess the impact of the project on the water resources and ecological environment of the Mekong Delta to ensure the harmonious interests of riparian countries and residents in the area.

VOV.VN - The United States Mission to Vietnam, through the US Agency for International Development (USAID), on March 15 joined leaders from the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and Mekong provinces to launch the Mekong Delta Coastal Habitat Conservation project.

Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Phung Duc Tien ordered localities, especially those in Mekong Delta, to focus on developing the supply chain and high-quality larvae so as to improve shrimp values and sustainably broaden the sector.

VOV.VN - Vietnam expects the Asian Development bank (ADB) will continue to coordinate and soon implement projects on the list of official ODA funding and other foreign preferential loans for the Mekong Delta region.

The Netherlands Development Organisation (SNV), in collaboration with related parties, on January 16 organised a workshop announcing the project ‘Transforming Rice Value Chains for Climate Resilient and Sustainable Development in the Mekong Delta’ (TRVC).
