VOV.VN - Vietnam is Italy’s leading partner in ASEAN, affirmed Italian Undersecretary of State for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Maria Tripodi, during her meeting with visiting Vietnamese Deputy Foreign Minister Le Thi Thu Hang in Rome on September 11.

The eighth meeting of the Vietnam-Italy Joint Committee for Economic Cooperation was held in Rome on October 17-18.

VOV.VN - Deputy Foreign Minister Le Thi Thu Hang and her Italian counterpart Maria Tripodi co-chaired the fifth Political Consultation between the two foreign ministries on March 30 to discuss the co-operation situation and to outline orientations aimed at enhancing the joint strategic partnership moving forward.

Over the past 50 years, breakthrough progress has been witnessed in the Italy-Vietnam relationship, both bilaterally and multilaterally, Italian Undersecretary of State for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Maria Tripodi told Vietnam News Agency.
