The Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT) is set to launch its product traceability system at www.verigoods.vn on December 23, aiming to boost product information transparency, safeguard consumers, and promote sustainable business growth.

Market inspectors uncovered more than 23,000 violations across Vietnam in 2025, collecting VND372 billion (US$14.3 million) in fines as authorities intensified enforcement against counterfeit products and online fraud.

The Department of Customs reported on December 9 that State budget revenue from import–export activities in the first 11 months of this year reached VND420.63 trillion (US$15.95 billion), equivalent to 102.3% of the annual estimate and 89.5% of the sector’s target.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on June 23 chaired a national teleconference to review the fight against smuggling, trade fraud, counterfeit goods, and intellectual property rights infringement in the first half of 2025 and conclude the peak combat campaign.

Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hong Dien called for intensified market surveillance and stronger legal frameworks to combat the rising tide of counterfeit goods and online trade fraud while addressing at the 15th National Assembly’s 9th session on June 17.
