VOV.VN - The government of Vietnam will introduce a visa exemption policy for travelers from Poland, Switzerland and the Czech Republic this year, presenting a valuable opportunity for major local destinations to welcome tourists from high-end markets.

The tourism sector is striving to maintain the growth momentum recorded in the first quarter so as to fulfil the target of serving 18 million foreign visitors this year, given a full recovery in most of Vietnam’s markets.

The new visa policy is presenting an opportunity for Vietnam's tourism industry to enhance its competitiveness, said the Ministry of Public Security’s Vietnam Immigration Department during a press conference in Hanoi on August 30.

VOV.VN - Lawmakers on June 24 approved the Government’s proposals to increase the validity of electronic visas for foreigners to 90 days from the current 30 days.

VOV.VN - The Government issued Resolution No. 32/NQ-CP on March 15 which allows visa exemption for citizens visiting the nation from 13 countries.

VOV.VN -The Tourism Advisory Board (TAB) has put forward a proposal to the Vietnamese Government to resume the unilateral visa exemption for tourists from the UK, Germany, Italy, France and Spain as part of the reopening of the international tourism, a move which is scheduled to start from March 15.
