VOV.VN - Nearly 74,700 Vietnamese workers went abroad for employment in the first half of this year, fulfilling 57.4% of the annual target, according to the Department of Overseas Labour Management under the Ministry of Home Affairs.

The People’s Committee of Dong Nai province, in collaboration with the German Embassy in Hanoi and the German Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City, hosted the “German career truck” programme on June 6.

The economy has been recovering and shifting towards eco-friendly policies and digitalisation, with labour supply in the southern key economic region early this year continuing to see remarkable fluctuations, both in quantity and structure.

The Department of Overseas Labour Management, at the Ministry of Home Affairs, has reported that 37,027 Vietnamese workers went abroad for employment in the first three months of this year, accounting for 28.4% of this year's target.

Vietnam sent 130,640 workers abroad, including 41.039 females, in the first 10 months of this year, surpassing the yearly target by 4%, according to the Department of Overseas Labour under the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs (MoLISA).
