DOLAB–JICA job application platform launched for overseas employment
VOV.VN - The Department of Overseas Labor (DOLAB) under the Ministry of Home Affairs, in collaboration with the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), officially launched the DOLAB–JICA overseas employment application system (DJ Application) on July 30.

The platform is a key part of the ongoing project “Supporting the connection of job information for Vietnamese workers to work abroad under contract,” which began in August 2023.
The DJ Application enables Vietnamese workers to directly access verified job listings and connect with licensed service enterprises, helping them avoid unregulated brokers and intermediaries.
At the launch ceremony, Vu Truong Giang, deputy director of DOLAB, noted that the initiative aligns with the Law on Contract-Based Vietnamese Overseas Workers, passed by the National Assembly on November 13, 2020, and in effect since January 1, 2022. The law aims to enhance transparency, reduce recruitment costs, and improve job placement support.
Designed as an IT-based solution, the platform includes both a website and mobile application, with a particular focus on serving workers in remote areas by offering direct access to overseas job opportunities.
Japanese Deputy Ambassador to Vietnam Ishikawa Isamu emphasized the application's role in protecting young Vietnamese workers from high fees and exploitation, calling it a reflection of the two countries' shared commitment to building a transparent and ethical labor market.
JICA Vietnam’s Chief Representative Kobayashi Yosuke stressed that the platform’s success would depend on its adoption by both workers and businesses. He expressed hope that it would encourage responsible participation by enterprises and better safeguard workers’ rights.
Looking ahead, the application will include new features allowing users to provide feedback on service providers, supervising agencies, and employers, which will be relayed directly to relevant Vietnamese authorities.
Even after returning home, workers will be able to use the platform to seek domestic employment opportunities, applying their overseas experience to the local labor market.
For service enterprises, the platform streamlines candidate outreach and reduces recruitment costs. Domestic businesses, meanwhile, gain access to a pool of skilled, internationally experienced workers.
The launch of the DJ Application marks a major step toward a more transparent and sustainable overseas labor market, paving the way for long-term development of Vietnam’s labor export sector.
