The National Public Service Portal will be upgraded into an unified digital “one-stop-shop” platform for all online public services, aiming to streamline administrative procedures for citizens and businesses, said Nguyen Duy Hoang, Director General of the Administrative Procedure Control Agency under the Government Office.

Over 644,000 payment transactions with a total value of more than VND279 billion (over US$11.8 million) were processed through the National Public Service Portal in January, according to the Ministry of Information and Communications.

Visa for foreigners living in Vietnam will be issued online via the National Public Service Portal in 2021.

National digital transformation will not only be conducted at State and Government agencies but go far beyond, especially at enterprises, Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment Tran Quoc Phuong told a Government press conference on January 4.

The number of services provided via the National Public Service Portal has reached 2,700 after four new ones made debut on December 30, expected to help save VND8 trillion (US$346.9 million) each year.

The National Reporting Platform was launched at a ceremony in Hanoi on August 19.
