Women’s futsal team get off to good start during Japan training camp
VOV.VN - The Vietnam women’s futsal team on April 23 secured a 2-0 victory over Fugador Sumida Ladies in their first friendly match during their training camp in Japan.

Both goals were scored by player Thanh Ngan, coming in the third and eighth minutes of the match.
Fugador Sumida Ladies are a strong team, having won the Japan national futsal championship in 2023. The match was played at a high tempo, offering many positive signs for head coach Nguyen Dinh Hoang and his players.
After the match, Hoang noted that the Japanese team featured quality players who played at high intensity and kept up a fast pace throughout the match. He also praised the Vietnamese squad for a good start and maintaining control of the game but acknowledged there is room to improve in finishing and defence.
The Vietnamese team are scheduled to rest on April 24 to recover physically. The coaching staff plans to hold a tactical meeting with the players, analyse match footage, and correct mistakes in preparation for their next match against the Japan women’s futsal team on April 25.
This training camp in Japan is a vital part of the team’s preparation for the 2026 AFC Women’s Futsal Championship, where Vietnam aim to finish in the top 3 and qualify for the 2025 FIFA Women’s Futsal World Cup.
