Vietnam women's futsal team train in Japan ahead of 2025 Asian finals
As part of their final preparations for the AFC Women’s Futsal Asian Cup China 2025, the 16-strong Vietnamese national women’s futsal team on April 21 early morning departed for a training camp in Japan, according to the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF).

Four players, including Le Trinh Khanh Linh, Danh Lam Kim Phung, Ngo Thi Hong Nhung and A Dat Rin To were not included in the squad, which is under the helm of coach Nguyen Dinh Hoang.
Upon arrival in Chiba, the team reported stable health and quickly adapted to local conditions. Coach Hoang noted that temperatures in the city, ranging from 14–23 degrees Celsius, are lower than in Ho Chi Minh City but similar to those expected in Hohhot, Inner Mongolia (China), where the championship takes place.
During the training stint, Vietnam are scheduled to play two friendlies against FC Fugador Sumida Ladies on April 23 and the Japanese national women’s futsal team on April 25.
Hoang said that these matches are valuable tests for the team to assess tactical adjustments and squad readiness.
The Vietnamese team are set to head to Hohhot on May 1, with a final friendly lined up against the Chinese national team on May 3, just several days ahead of the tournament’s official kickoff.
