Head coach Nguyen Dinh Hoang has called up 20 players for the training camp. About 12 players will show up at District 8 Sports Hall in Ho Chi Minh City on March 23, and the remaining players will join the squad on April 8 after completing competitions in the National Women’s Cup.

According to Hoang, the coaching staff has retained key players from the previous camp, including Thanh Hang, Thuy Trang, Thanh Ngan, and Phuong Anh. Promising young talents such as Thu Xuan and K’Thua will be part of the squad.

The team will engage in high-level training matches to gain experience and improve their skills before finalizing strategies for the tournament.

Notably, the team will train in Japan this April, where they are expected to play two friendly matches against a Japanese club and the Japan Women’s Futsal National Team

Coach Hoang emphasized that the team’s ultimate goal is to qualify for the FIFA Women’s Futsal World Cup, but the immediate priority is to secure a place in the knockout stage of the 2025 AFC Women’s Futsal Asian Cup.

In China, Vietnam will play in Group B alongside two-time defending champions Iran, Hong Kong (China) and the Philippines.

They are scheduled to take on Hong Kong on May 7, the Philippines on May 9 and Iran on May 11.
