Vietnamese women’s futsal team remains 11th in FIFA rankings
VOV.VN - The Vietnamese women's national futsal team has maintained their position at 11th in the world, according to the most recent global rankings released by FIFA.
In the world football governing body's latest rankings, Vietnam gained an additional 15.32 points thanks to their recent remarkable result in the 2025 AFC Women’s Futsal Asian Cup Qualifiers after achieving a dominant 5-1 victory over host nation Myanmar before being held to a draw with Taipei (China).
Overall, the women’s team accumulated a total of 1135,7 points, duly retaining their spot of being ranked fourth place in Asia, behind Thailand who are sixth in the world, Iran at ninth in the world, and Japan in 10th place in the global rankings.
Currently, the team is taking part in a training camp in Ho Chi Minh City to prepare for the final round of the 2025 AFC Women's Futsal Cup, which is scheduled to take place in May.
At the tournament, Vietnam have been drawn in Group B along with Iran, Hong Kong (China) and the Philippines.
