Three killed and many injured after sleeper bus overturns in central Vietnam
VOV.VN - Three people were killed and many other were injured after a sleeper bus crashed into a median strip and overturned in Phu Yen province on February 8 morning.

The serious traffic accident happened at around 1A.M. on National Highway 1 in Xuan Thinh commune, Song Cau town of Phu Yen province. The bus was travelling in the north-south direction.
Several local residents reported the accident to local authorities and helped rescue passengers trapped inside the bus.
Upon receiving the report, the police arrived at the scene to conduct rescue operations, regulate traffic, and investigate the cause of the accident.
Preliminary information indicates that the accident resulted in three deaths and many injuries. The injured were immediately taken to nearby hospitals for emergency treatment.
Some local residents living near the accident site reported hearing a series of loud noises before the bus overturned.
Vo Thi Thanh Huong, a 33-year-old resident of Da Nang City, was traveling on the bus with her husband and young child from Da Nang to Da Lat. Fortunately, all three family members sustained only minor injuries.
“I was sitting on the bus when it began swerving. Suddenly, the bus tilted and flipped over with a loud bang. At the back of the bus, there were three window holes, and a young girl lying on the lower bed hit her head on the bus and passed away,” Huong recounted.
Authorities are currently investigating the cause of the accident.
