Cao Bang records 2,000 cases of measles
VOV.VN - The northern mountainous province of Cao Bang has reported approximately 2,000 measles cases over the past three months, with no severe cases or fatalities, according to the provincial Centre for Disease Control (CDC).

The centre noted a sharp increase in measles cases compared to the same period last year, with most patients being children.
Bao Lam district reported its first measles cases since the end of November 2024. The disease then spread to Bao Lac and Ha Quang districts in Cao Bang, as well as Pac Nam district in Bac Kan province.
The Cao Bang CDC revealed that most measles cases were linked to a lack of vaccination.
Additionally, the current weather conditions could facilitate the spread of respiratory and digestive diseases, particularly during the festivals at the beginning of the lunar year.
To address the ongoing outbreak, the province has urged local residents to prioritize environmental hygiene, disinfection, food safety, and implement necessary disease prevention and treatment measures.
