Politburo launches campaign to implement Party Congress Resolution
VOV.VN - Party General Secretary To Lam has signed Politburo Directive No.01 calling for nationwide study, dissemination and implementation of the Resolution adopted at the freshly concluded 14th National Party Congress.
The Directive says the 14th Congress was a major success, adopting a resolution and key documents that reflect the Party’s strategic vision for national development in a new era.
It describes the Resolution as a product of profound theoretical and practical review, crystallising the collective wisdom of the Party, the people and the armed forces, and providing comprehensive guidance for the work of the Party, the State and society.
The Politburo requires Party committees and organisations at all levels to treat the study and implementation of the Congress resolution as a central task for 2026 and the entire new term, ensuring it is carried out in a serious, systematic and effective manner.
The Directive says this should be a broad political campaign to help every Party member fully understand and creatively apply the resolution, thereby fostering unity in thought and action, strengthening public consensus and mobilising national solidarity in national construction and defence.
It adds that dissemination of the Resolution will contribute to strengthening Party building in political, ideological, ethical and organisational terms, as well as safeguarding the Party’s ideological foundation.
Study and dissemination will cover the Congress Resolution and key documents, including the Political Report, reports reviewing 40 years of Renewal under socialist orientation, and a review of 15 years of implementing the Party Charter with orientations for possible amendments.
The Politburo has instructed Party committees at all levels, Party organisations and their heads to directly lead, oversee and bear full responsibility for the study, dissemination and implementation of the Resolution, as well as for developing focused and practical action programmes and plans to be carried out throughout the entire term.
Party committees are required to promptly update and supplement their action programmes in line with assigned functions, tasks and practical conditions, and complete them in the first quarter of 2026. Implementation results will serve as a basis for assessing collective and individual accountability on an annual basis and for the whole term.
The Politburo underscored the need to renew implementation methods, combining traditional approaches with the application of science, technology and digital transformation, and shifting from “study and dissemination” to “deep understanding, correct action and resolute execution”.
Public communication will focus on the success of the 14th Party Congress and the resolution’s new orientations, while strengthening the protection of the Party’s ideological foundation and building broad social consensus.
