Aspirations surge as Vietnam moves to realise Party Congress Resolution
VOV.VN - Following success of the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam, a renewed sense of confidence, expectation and aspiration for development is spreading widely among officials, Party members and people nationwide.
The Congress, taking place in Hanoi from January 19-23, marked the opening of a new phase in the country’s development, with its resolution setting out strategic orientations and major tasks for the coming decades. Public attention is now focused on strong, concrete and timely action to translate the Party’s guidelines into reality, creating fresh momentum for the entire political system and society to accelerate growth in a fast and sustainable manner.
In Hanoi, an atmosphere of optimism and confidence in the outcomes of the Congress and its strategic decisions has been evident across residential areas and public spaces.
Nguyen Huu Tinh, Party Secretary of Tuong Mai ward, said local officials and residents were encouraged by the Congress’s results and expressed firm confidence in the Party’s leadership and Party General Secretary To Lam.
“We firmly believe that under the Party’s leadership, people’s lives will continue to improve and become more prosperous,” he said.
Many officials and Party members have voiced strong confidence that the newly elected 14th Party Central Committee would uphold a spirit of initiative, creativity and responsibility, placing national and people’s interests above all else.
According to former National Assembly deputy Bui Thi An, the personnel work of the Congress reflects a balance between continuity and renewal, offering hope for effective leadership in the new development stage.
“The Politburo and the Central Committee elected at the 14th Congress demonstrate stability while embracing renewal. This is a team willing to take responsibility and act in a nation-building, development-oriented manner,” she said.
The Congress adopted decisions seen as a “launching pad” for achieving the country’s two centenary goals, including an average GDP growth target of over 10% per year for the 2026–2030 period. Three strategic breakthroughs have been identified in institutions and implementation, human resources development, and modern, synchronized infrastructure, with an emphasis on strong and decisive execution.
Nguyen Van Tuan, a Party member in Bach Mai ward, Hanoi, said the double-digit growth target reflects strong national determination in a new era of development.
“With collective will and national strength, Vietnam is fully capable of realising this goal,” he believed.
Public expectations are also focused on the rapid translation of the Congress Resolution into concrete actions and measurable outcomes that improve governance and public services. Early and decisive implementation from the start of the new term is widely viewed as critical.
Nguyen Tuc, member of the Presidium of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee, noted that the Congress Resolution is accompanied by a detailed action programme specifying responsible agencies, coordination mechanisms and implementation timelines.
“This enables immediate action once the resolution is issued, rather than waiting for additional plans,” he said.
With firm confidence in the Party’s leadership, headed by General Secretary To Lam, and strong national consensus, officials and citizens alike believe Vietnam will continue to move forward steadily toward fast and sustainable development, for the well-being of the people and the country’s long-term future.
