People expect Party Congress Resolution to be swiftly put into practice

VOV.VN - Public expectations are running high following the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam, as its major and breakthrough decisions are expected to be swiftly translated into concrete action and real-life impact.

Expectations for major policies to reach daily life

As a young representative, Nguyen Khanh Dang, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Co Do commune, Can Tho City, expressed his confidence and expectations that the 14th Party Congress would place greater emphasis on youth development. He hoped for concrete mechanisms and policies to support young people in entrepreneurship, innovation and start-ups, while creating favourable conditions for them to play a pioneering role in digital transformation and socio-economic development in line with central orientations.

Sharing the same confidence, Thach Sang, a Party member in Co Do commune, said he expects the Party and State to continue paying close attention to ethnic minority communities, particularly in economic development and the preservation of traditional cultural values. He called for further improvements to existing policies, especially those related to housing, health insurance, tuition support, transport infrastructure and schools in disadvantaged areas, alongside effective implementation of national target programmes to ensure sustainable development suited to local realities.

“I hope there will be continued policies supporting ethnic minorities, especially housing assistance, tuition and health insurance for the most disadvantaged households, as well as investment in roads, bridges and schools in remote areas,” Sang said.

Lu Thanh Hien, another Party member in Co Do commune, emphasized that the 14th Party Congress is a politically significant event that sets strategic directions for national development in the new period. He expressed hope that the major, breakthrough resolution would soon be translated into practical, grassroots-oriented action programmes, enabling officials to work with confidence, helping people stabilise production and improve livelihoods, and contributing to a more prosperous and sustainably developing nation.

“Once the Congress’s resolution is issued, there should be concrete action programmes so that major policies can be quickly implemented in real life, allowing people to enjoy better living conditions,” Hien said.

Officials, Party members and residents of Can Tho City have placed strong trust in the decisions of the 14th Party Congress, expecting them to be effectively implemented in practice, bringing about clear changes in socio-economic development and improving people’s quality of life.

Confidence following the success of the Congress

Lam Dong province, home to a large ethnic minority population, has benefited in recent years from significant Party and State investment through various socio-economic development programmes. In an atmosphere of optimism, ethnic minority communities across the province expressed hope that the Party and State will continue to prioritise both material and spiritual well-being, particularly in remote and disadvantaged areas.

Dang Choi Sinh from K’Rong No commune said he hopes for greater attention to infrastructure investment, especially roads in deep-lying and remote villages. Meanwhile, Dieu K’Dung, head of Buon Go village in Cat Tien commune, expressed his wish that support for ethnic minority livelihoods would continue to be strengthened.

In Dong Thap province, Nguyen Van Giap, a veteran revolutionary cadre in his 80s, closely followed the 14th Party Congress and described it as meeting the expectations of the entire Party and people. He noted improvements in both content and organisation, highlighting that the newly elected 14th Party Central Committee includes representatives from across localities nationwide. He also said that the re-election of Party General Secretary To Lam reflects the aspirations of the people.

Sharing the sentiment, Le Thi Binh from Thoi Son ward, Dong Thap province, said she was pleased with the General Secretary’s continued leadership. “General Secretary To Lam has both vision and dedication, with many policies aimed at national renewal for the benefit of the people,” she said.

Hopes for more people-centred policies

Voters and residents in the northern mountainous province of Son La expressed confidence that General Secretary To Lam, together with the Party Central Committee, the Politburo and the Secretariat, would lead the country in successfully implementing the goals set by the 14th Party Congress. They hoped for continued efforts to remove development bottlenecks and introduce more people-centred policies.

Nguyen Thi Huong, a resident of To Hieu ward, Son La province, said that over the past year she has clearly felt the people-oriented leadership under General Secretary To Lam, especially the principle of leaving no one behind. She pointed to policies such as eliminating temporary housing, expanding social housing, waiving tuition fees at public schools, providing free annual health check-ups, improving grassroots healthcare, and cracking down on counterfeit goods and unsafe food.

Nguyen Duc Nguyen, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Moc Chau ward, Son La province, highly appreciated the Party’s leadership, particularly the General Secretary’s role in Party building and system reform during the 2020–2025 term. He said the restructuring and streamlining of administrative units and the two-tier local government model have improved state management efficiency and public services.

Entering the 2026–2031 term, with the goal of becoming a developing country with modern industry and upper-middle income, Nguyen believed the General Secretary would continue to provide strong leadership in implementing the 14th Party Congress resolution, enhancing national governance and enabling localities to fully realize their potential.

The 14th National Party Congress has concluded successfully. At the dawn of a new opportunity, the people remain confident in the Party’s leadership along the country’s development path. This trust will serve as a vital foundation for Vietnam to move forward with renewed momentum, determination and aspirations.
