At the construction site of the Dung Quat - Sa Huynh coastal road project, the PM met with local residents, presented gifts to workers, and listened to the project’s progress report.

The project has a total length of approximately 125 km, with the starting point connecting with the end of the coastal road in Quang Nam province, near Chu Lai Airport, and the endpoint connecting with the coastal road in Binh Dinh province.

The PM emphasized that the coastal road running parallel to the shoreline, with vast and open land on both sides, is a significant advantage for Quang Ngai. Once completed and operational, he said, it will allow the province to fully leverage its potential and strengths.

He suggested that Quang Ngai build several bridges along the route and carefully plan the connections for maximum convenience. He urged the province to accelerate implementation, avoid scattered investments, and complete the project quickly to put it into operation, creating a driving force for development.

Later, the Prime Minister continued to inspect the Quang Ngai – Hoai NHon section of the North-South Expressway project.

The project has a total investment of over VND20.4 trillion, including nearly VND 14.5 trillion for construction costs. The expressway spans 88 km, crossing Quang Ngai province (60.3 km) and Binh Dinh province (27.7 km). This is the largest of the 12 component projects in the North-South Expressway initiative.

The Prime Minister expressed his appreciation for Deo Ca group, the contractor, for its many innovations, especially initiatives that helped accelerate construction progress, including the tunnel excavation method.

He suggested that Deo Ca Group continue to support and mentor local contractors to grow and take on more significant projects in the future.

Regarding the contractor’s proposals, the government leader agreed to invest in and simultaneously complete and put both tunnel tubes into operation to maximize the investment's effectiveness, emphasizing that this must be done immediately.

He also stressed the importance of establishing a clear reward mechanism for contractors who perform well while strictly penalizing those who fail to meet standards or abandon their commitments.
 

PM makes field trip to key economic facilities in Quang Nam
