The on-going 7th plenary meeting of the 12th Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam is attracting special attention from Party members and the public, with high expectations for new breakthroughs in the building of the contingent of cadres, especially at the strategic level. 

The 12th-tenure Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) elected two additional members to the Central Committee Secretariat on May 9, the third day of its 7th plenary meeting.

The first working day of the 7th plenary session of the 12th Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee (CPVCC) took place in Hanoi on May 7.
