Party, State leaders pay tribute to President Ho Chi Minh on his birthday

VOV.VN - A delegation of the Party, State, National Assembly, Government and Vietnam Fatherland Front laid wreaths and paid tribute to President Ho Chi Minh on May 18 at his mausoleum in Hanoi, to commemorate the late President’s 131st birth anniversary.

Among those on hand were State President Nguyen Xuan Phuc, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, NA Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue, and Permanent member of the Party Central Committee's Secretariat Vo Van Thuong.

The high-raking officials expressed their deep gratitude to President Ho Chi Minh, the founder and leader of the Communist Party of Vietnam, who made great contributions to Vietnam’s revolutionary cause.

They later laid flowers and offered incense to national heroes and war martyrs at their monument on Bac Son street, recalling the sacrifices made by martyrs for the country’s independence and reunification.

A delegation of the Hanoi capital led by Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee Dinh Tien Dung paid homage to President Ho Chi Minh at his mausoleum and placed wreaths at the monument to national heroes and martyrs.

A large number of Vietnamese people from across the country are expected to pay their respect to President Ho Chi Minh on this occasion.
