Hanoi girl crowned Miss World Vietnam 2025, to represent Vietnam globally
VOV.VN - Hanoi-born Phan Phuong Oanh outperformed 46 other contestants to be crowned Miss World Vietnam 2025 at the grand finale held at Military Zone 7 Indoor Stadium in Ho Chi Minh City on March 29.
The final night brought together 47 contestants competing across multiple segments, including group performances, Áo Dài (traditional long dress), swimwear, evening gown and the question-and-answer round. The event featured the presence of Miss World Organisation Chairwoman Julia Morley and Miss World 2025 Opal Suchata.
The competition opened with a vibrant group performance featuring reigning beauty queens and artists, followed by the Áo Dài segment, where contestants showcased designs inspired by Vietnamese cultural heritage. The Top 20 finalists were then announced, including winners of several sub-awards such as Talent, Sports, Fashion and Media.
The finalists continued into the swimwear competition, where several contestants stood out for their stage presence and physique. The Top 10 were later revealed before advancing to the evening gown round, highlighting elegance and confidence.
After a series of competitive rounds, the Top 6 finalists were selected, including Le Ngoc Nhu Quynh, Phan Phuong Oanh and other strong contenders. In the final Q&A segment, contestants addressed topics ranging from environmental protection and food security to global peace and the role of youth.
Phan Phuong Oanh impressed the judges with her response on how she hopes Vietnam will be remembered globally. She expressed her wish for the country to be recognised for its proud history, dynamic present and ambitious future, emphasising the role of a knowledgeable and resilient young generation in elevating Vietnam’s global image.
Following the final round, the Top 3 contestants were announced, including Truong Tam Nhu, Le Phuong Khanh Nhu and Phan Phuong Oanh. After an additional question posed by Miss World 2025 Opal Suchata, the final results were revealed, with Truong Tam Nhu named second runner-up and Le Phuong Khanh Nhu first runner-up.
Phan Phuong Oanh was ultimately crowned Miss World Vietnam 2025.
Born in 2003 in Hanoi, Phan Phuong Oanh stands at 1.73 meters tall and holds a bachelor’s degree in International Business from National Economics University. She had been considered a strong contender throughout the competition, previously placing in the Top 10 of Miss Vietnam 2022 and earning recognition in several sub-categories.
With this victory, she will represent Vietnam at the 74th Miss World pageant, carrying expectations to further promote the country’s image on the global stage.
