Nam heads to Kazakhstan for ATP Challenger-President’s Cup

VOV.VN -Ly Hoang Nam, Vietnam’s highest ranked tennis player, jetted off to Kazakhstan on July 12 ahead of his participation in the ATP Challenger-President’s Cup.

The total prize money for the tournament has been set at US$135,000.

Situated at No. 417 in the latest ATP rankings, Nam has earned a place in the main round of the men’s singles event which is scheduled to take place between July 15 and July 21.

During the tournament, the Tay Ninh born player is set to compete against a number of strong rivals who are in the top 200 to 300 of the ATP rankings.

Nam will be accompanied by his Spanish coach Nahum Garcia and Turkish fitness expert Faruk Celikel.

Previously, after recovering from an injury, Nam made a significant contribution to helping the national tennis team gain promotion to the Davis Cup’s Group II Asia-Oceania Zone.
