Vietnamese businesses seek partners at THAIFEX HOREC Asia 2026

VOV.VN - Vietnamese tourism businesses are exploring new hospitality technologies and partnership opportunities at THAIFEX – HOREC Asia 2026, one of the region’s largest trade exhibitions for the hotel, restaurant and café/catering industries.

The event officially opened on March 11 at the IMPACT Muang Thong Thani Exhibition and Convention Centre in Bangkok, attracting nearly 700 exhibitors from 35 countries and territories.

A large Vietnamese delegation representing more than 300 hotels and high-end resorts attended the exhibition to explore new technologies and seek strategic partners.

In his opening remarks, Prime Minister of Thailand Anutin Charnvirakul stated that the Thai government expects the event will attract more than 20,000 international visitors, generating trade value exceeding THB3.5 billion (approximately US$100 million), and affirming Thailand's position as a leading regional hub for accommodation and culinary services.

Speaking to Voice of Vietnam (VOV) correspondents in Bangkok, Vietnamese Ambassador to Thailand Pham Viet Hung highlighted Thailand’s systematic and professional development of the hospitality and food service supply chain.

He expressed satisfaction at seeing a large Vietnamese delegation, including more than 60 businesses, attending the event to learn and explore cooperation opportunities.

According to the diplomat, the potential for cooperation between Vietnam and Thailand in this field is enormous, ranging from human resource training to improving service quality.

The Vietnamese Embassy in Thailand is ready to act as a bridge to promote closer ties among businesses of the two countries, he said.

This year's event marks a strong presence for Vietnam's tourism industry with a delegation of over 60 members, representing approximately 300 four or five-star hotels and resorts nationwide.

Apart from gaining access to new technologies, the delegation held meetings with major partners in the Thai hospitality industry such as Dusit International and Centara Hotels & Resorts to exchange experiences and call investment into the Vietnamese market.

Luong Thanh Nam, leader of Viet Hotel Solution Joint Stock Company (VIETSOLUTIONS), said that the potential for development of Vietnam's tourism and hospitality industry is enormous, and the trade show will provide opportunities for Vietnamese businesses to seek partners and suitable technology products for their hotels.

Vietnam aims to welcome over 21 million international visitors, and connecting with Thailand's professional service ecosystem at three-day THAIFEX – HOREC ASIA 2026 is expected to create a new turning point for the quality of accommodation services in the country, contributing to making tourism a key economic sector of Vietnam.
